PlayStation repair: PS5, PS5 Slim, PS5 Pro, PS4 and PS3

Common PlayStation jobs include PS5 HDMI port replacement, overheating and fan faults, no-power and power supply problems, disc drive and laser lens issues, and PS4 blue-light boot failures. We also repair DualSense and DualShock controllers for stick drift, charging port faults and unresponsive buttons.

Xbox repair: Series X, Series S, Xbox One and Xbox 360

We fix Xbox Series X and Series S consoles that won’t power on, show no picture, shut down randomly or won’t read discs. We also repair Xbox One consoles with overheating, hard drive and power faults. Xbox 360 jobs, including Red Ring of Death faults, are accepted case by case because success depends on the condition of the board.

Nintendo repair: Switch, Switch OLED, Switch Lite and Wii U

Common console problems we fix (and what usually causes them)

Most console faults follow a few patterns. Here is what we see most often and what each fix involves.

HDMI port problems: no signal, flickering or no picture

If your TV says “No Signal”, the picture flickers or sparkles, or the cable feels loose in the port, the HDMI port is a prime suspect. Start by swapping the cable and trying another TV input. If that doesn’t help, the port is likely bent, cracked or lifted off the board. Replacing it means removing the old port from the motherboard and soldering in a new one, which is precision micro-soldering, not a simple swap. On some PS5 consoles a no-picture fault also involves the HDMI retimer chip, which is why a proper diagnostic matters before any quote.

Tip: if Remote Play was set up before the port failed, you may still be able to play on a phone or PC while your console is in for repair.

Overheating, loud fans and random shutdowns

A console that sounds like a jet engine, feels very hot or shuts off mid-game is usually choking on dust or running on dried-out thermal paste. We open the console, clean the fan and heatsink, replace the thermal compound where needed and check the fan and power circuitry. It is one of the most affordable fixes, and the one most worth doing early, since sustained heat shortens the life of components.

Console won’t turn on

No lights, no sound, no response. The cause could be a failed power supply, a faulty cable, a damaged power input or a motherboard fault. We test each in turn so you only pay to replace what actually failed.

Disc drive and disc-reading problems

Discs that won’t load, get ejected or make grinding noises usually point to a worn laser lens, a failing drive motor or a mechanical jam. We repair or replace drive components on disc-edition PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles.

Stuck on blue light, boot loops or update screens

A PS4 flashing blue, an Xbox stuck on its logo or a PS5 looping into safe mode can be a software, storage or hardware problem. We check the drive and board first. Some cases need a storage replacement or a firmware recovery, and we’ll tell you before we start if the data on the drive is at risk.

Controller drift, stuck buttons and charging faults

Stick drift comes from wear in the analog stick module. On DualSense, Xbox and Joy-Con controllers we replace the worn module, clean contacts and fix charging ports so you don’t have to buy a new controller.

Liquid damage

If your console has been splashed or spilled on, unplug it, don’t turn it on, and bring it in as soon as you can. Corrosion spreads over time, so early cleaning gives the best odds. We can’t promise every liquid-damaged console is recoverable, but the diagnostic is free.
